this just appeared on my twitter feed xD

Gaaahhhh I just saw this on my Twitter as well. I think the answer is yes, they are that cruel. Those bastards love making us suffer.
But it hurts so good.

That would actually be the coolest thing ever apart from me sobbing nonfunctionally if it happened to me especially if they cheated on you with another party member, and you had to make some Tough Decisions.

You know what would be awesome?  If they cheated depending on how the PC interacts with them.  And maybe these differ depending on the LI.

That would be so awesome. They’d have to tweak the friend/rival system a bit, though, probably. Unless the way to avoid cheating is to be at either max friendship or max rivalry, and the max rival doesn’t cheat because s/he is so obsessed with you. Or something.

Maybe depending on how you treat their opinions? You’re usually in a rivalmance because you disagree on fundamental things. If your Hawke is all “I don’t agree with what you say, but I respect that you have an opinion on it” they don’t cheat, but if your Hawke is all “YOUR OPINION IS DUMB AND SO ARE YOU, I ONLY KEEP YOU AROUND BECAUSE YOU GIVE GREAT HEAD” they cheat?

SOMETIMES LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE DON’T FEEL LIKE IT SHOULD
GAIDER, MAKE IT HURT SO GOOD.
